"Pact with the Devil" originally appeared in the United Fanzine Organization's Comics Annual circa 1995 and was published in Caliber Comics' Negative Burn #39 in 1996. In the splash page, I attempted to capture the feel of both a Sunday comics page -- the allusion to "The Rob Hanes Section" on the upper left hand corner of the splash also harkens back to Will Eisner's Spirit sections.
